In the hip hop world, you never know what to expect when you interview an artist (or a producer, director, or exec -more or less virtually anyone who works in and profits from the billion dollar business we call rap music). Sometimes you speak to over-the-top characters who only say what they think fickle fans want to hear, and sometimes it’s the polished veterans with agendas to push. Making a mixtape has got to be the easiest sh*t in the world, right? Especially a "Best Of" mixtape because you don't even need new material, you've just gotta pick an artist and pile a bunch of their hits onto a disc. Anybody can do that sh*t, right? Not exactly.
