an artist (or a producer, director, or exec -more or less virtually
anyone who works in and profits from the billion dollar business we
call rap music). Sometimes you speak to over-the-top characters who
only say what they think fickle fans want to hear, and sometimes it’s
the polished veterans with agendas to push. And sometimes, very rarely,
you get the real. No cut, no chase.

 J Period Making a mixtape has got to be the easiest sh*t in the world, right?
Especially a "Best Of" mixtape because you don't even need new
material, you've just gotta pick an artist and pile a bunch of their
hits onto a disc. Anybody can do that sh*t, right? Not exactly.
